J. PERRY is an international artist from Port-au-Prince, Haiti. He discovered his musical talents at the age of 6 and he began learning to play the piano. He continued his musical journey and began recording his first album in 2009. His first album entitled “One Life to Live” was released in 2011. The first single “Dekole” took Haiti by storm! It was played over 700 times in one day on the local radio station and became the anthem for Haiti’s carnival in 2012. J Perry’s music is often upbeat and features the rhythms and sounds of his Haitian roots.
“Aba Blabla” is a feisty tune that just makes you want to dance. It has a reggaeton feel with the subtle undertones of Haitian Zouk. Lyrically it is a blend of Haitian Creole, French and English. Loosely translated, it addresses those who are often talking behind the backs of other people. J. Perry says that people love to talk, and they will continue to talk if you’re doing bad and never speak to the good. He explains that music is his way of telling others not to judge one another.
