Although the band MELLOW MOOD was formed in Italy, a country not widely known for reggae music, they are taking reggae music by storm. The band has even collaborated with Jamaican reggae artists such as Tanya Stephens, Jah9 and Hempress Sativa to name a few. The group is comprised of Jacopo Garzia, Lorenzo Garzia, Antonio Cicci, Giulio Frausin and Filippo Buresta. Lead vocalists Jacopo and Lorenzo Garzia are the heart of the group with their soulful vocals and passionately charged lyrics. This is especially evident in their single “Bun Mi Heart.”
“Bun Mi Heart” is a sultry track about the singer losing the love of his life. The pain that he feels can be heard through the Garzias heartfelt wails over a slow yet eloquently plucked guitar. There is little accompaniment on this song, so it could be considered an acoustic. The intentional strum of the guitar emphasizes how the singer felt when he lost his loved one.
