WILLY PAUL, born Wilson Abubakar Radido, is a Contemporary Christian artist born and raised in Nairobi, Kenya. Although his first single was entitled “Rabuka”, it was the song “Sitolia” featuring songstress Gloria Muliro that was his claim to fame. “Sitolia” briefly describes the struggles he endured throughout his life and how he believed God was giving him a second chance. He recently started to explore reggae music, which can be heard in his more recent singles “Vigelegele” and “Fanya”.
As the title suggests, “I Do” is about Willy Paul marrying the love of his life. He fuses his African style with reggae to make a beautiful love song. The lyrics are a beautiful blend of Paul’s native language, Swahili, and English. Alaine was a perfect match for this song. Her soft yet elegant harmonies ring throughout the chorus and overflow with passion as she says “Yes, I do!”
